Creating Healthy and
Happy Beginnings
My name is Dr Melody Jackson and I am a GP and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC),
practicing in the field of breastfeeding medicine.
In January 2025, I am so excited to welcome Dr Kate Jenkins to the practice.
We became passionate about working with mothers and babies after our own experiences of both the
joys and challenges of becoming a Mum and breastfeeding our babies.
We are here to support you every step of the way.
"Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch human soul, just be another human soul."
~ C. G. Jung
Antenatal visits are encouraged during your pregnancy. It is very helpful to see a Lactation Consultant before you give birth. I take the time to address your physical and emotional needs, as well as introduce breastfeeding and what to expect in the early days with your newborn baby. This will ensure that you are feeling well prepared and optimistic about birth, breastfeeding and beyond.
Welcoming a new baby to the family is one of the most amazing and overwhelming experiences of our lives. There is so much information and advice given to new parents and it can be difficult to know what is best. Navigating this journey can be made easier with gentle and loving support, backed up by evidence based medicine.
As our little ones grow up, their needs and routines are ever-changing. From introducing solids, returning to work or weaning the older child, I am able to help and support you and your family through all of the changes as they happen.

“I acknowledge the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of this land and acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded. I especially ACKNOWLEDGE the Dharug people, on whose land my practice is on.
May we all walk together for an Australia grounded in inclusion, equity and healing.”
A note on the term ‘woman’: we offer care that is inclusive. Not all people that will benefit from our support identify with female pronouns. We honour and respect all experiences as valid, and seek to provide gender inclusive care.
you are welcome here, you are safe here.
